Weedon Island Paddle Trip May 2024
The Weedon island Paddle trip May 2024 was A warm and sunny day with plenty of blue skies for a great day on the water. The tides were perfect for going through the Mangrove tunnels. It’s always great to get out of the sun and into the shade of the mangrove tunnels. The blue green algae is starting to invade the park. A bit stinky in spots but not overwhelming or to the point to ruin the trip. We saw yellow crown night heron, and little blue heron among the mangroves. We didn’t have the boat for lunch this year but it worked out just fine having lunch on the kayaks. A great day on the water. Thanks everyone for coming out and paddling with us.
