The Yakima BaseClip provides a secure, custom-fit connection for BaseLine Towers on vehicles without existing roof racks, ready for your paddlesports gear.
The Yakima BaseClip is the starting point for a roof rack on a vehicle with a bare roof, with no factory side rails or fixed mounting points. Each set has vehicle-specific clips and protective pads that make a solid, stable attachment to your car's roof.
How the Yakima BaseClip Works
BaseClips work with Yakima BaseLine Towers, giving them the custom connection they need for a secure fit. With the clips and towers in place, you add Yakima crossbars such as RoundBar, CoreBar or JetStream, and you have a base rack for kayaks, canoes and the rest of your gear.

BaseClips are made of powder-coated stainless steel to resist corrosion. The custom-molded rubber pads hold the fit and protect your paint from scratches.
