The Old Town Sportsman 106 Powered by Minn Kota is a simple and lighter weight Motorized Kayak.  The motor is easily accessible in front of you to bring up when launching – landing or in shallow water.  It also allows for quick and easy access to the motor for maintenance if weeds or line tangle in the prop.  With an open cockpit for room to move, stand or handle big fish in the boat with you when the motor is down and deployed. 

The motor has a 45lb thrust for the power to get you out and back.  Boat like shifter control allow for very natural running and controlling your speed.  The safety kill switch key hold a spare prop pin and doubles as a prop wrench.  Foot-controlled oversized rudder for truly hands-free fishing and amazing maneuverability.  Want to paddle without the motor sometimes?  There is a floor plug that stores in the tank well that is used to keep water out of the cockpit when the motor is removed.

The frame seat is constructed with a Dual-layer Textilene that is UV Resistant and easy clean mesh.  A 3d mesh layer adds additional comfort without affecting breathability.  The seat can be placed in a high position for more comfort and visibility or a low position for more stability and less wind drag.

The Cockpit has a load of open space in front of you with non-slip EVA foam deck pads.  The Padding adds comfort and traction when standing. Easily install a power pole to the stern with preconfigured attachment points. 

There are four 18” slot tracks for mounting fishing rods, camera mounts, or a load of other accessories, allowing for quick and easy on/off and versatile control of how you outfit kayak. And one forward facing and 2 rear facing rod holder are out of the way but there when you need them. Other features include: large stern tankwell storage, large oval hatch on bow for internal storage, two side stash areas in cockpit. Flip up storage hatch in motor console.  Shallow water anchor mounts on stern.   

The Sportman 106 MK is ready for electronics.  It has 3 through hull wiring kits and a universal transducer mount allowing you to mount a fish finder quickly without drilling into your kayak.
