Marine Mat Elite 6mm Eddyline Caribbean
The thicker build. 6mm Marine Mat is the Elite specification — a two-tone laminate that gives you more cushion underfoot, more insulation from a hot deck, and the routed two-colour detailing that the thin single-layer mats cannot do.
What 6mm Marine Mat Buys You
Cushioning is the obvious one, and it is not subtle: six millimetres of closed-cell foam under your feet for three hours is a different experience from three.
Insulation is the one people underestimate. A dark deck sitting in Florida sun gets too hot to stand on barefoot, and foam thickness is what stands between your feet and that.
The third benefit is cosmetic but real. Because 6mm Marine Mat is built as two bonded layers of different colours, the logos and lines routed into the top layer reveal the colour beneath. That is where the finished, factory look comes from.
The Trade-Off
Thicker is not automatically better. A 6mm pad stands proud enough that it can catch a hatch lip or a seat rail that a 3mm pad would slide under. If you are matting an area with hardware close by, dry-fit and look at the clearances before you peel anything.
6mm Marine Mat Cut to the Boat
We stock this in pieces cut for Caribbean 12 and Caribbean 14 footwells. Check which boat you have and, for the FS versions, note that FS means Frame Seat — a plain Caribbean and an FS take different pieces.
These are made to order and not returnable, so it is worth two minutes with the badge on your hull.
How Marine Mat Goes On
It is peel-and-stick, on a high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive that grips even a moulded-in non-skid deck. Clean the area properly and let it dry completely — adhesive does not forgive a damp or waxy surface — then lay the piece down and press it evenly from the middle outward.
Take your time on the dry fit. This is the permanent Stick-It series, not the snap-in removable one, so where you put it is where it stays. Marine Mat backs it with a limited three-year warranty against defects.
