Marine Mat Caribbean 12FS 5pc
A five-piece Caribbean 12FS standing pad kit, cut to the boat's footwell and standing area rather than trimmed from a sheet. It is the difference between a deck that looks finished and one that looks like a project.
What a Caribbean 12FS Standing Pad Does
Three things. Grip, first — a wet gelcoat or plastic deck is slick, and if you stand to fish or to stretch, closed-cell foam underfoot is what makes that a reasonable idea rather than a gamble.
Second, comfort. Standing on hard plastic for a few hours is hard work on the feet and knees. A cushioned pad changes that.
Third, temperature. A dark deck in Florida in July is genuinely too hot to stand on barefoot. Foam insulates it.
Caribbean 12FS Standing Pad: Make Sure It Is the Right Boat
Worth a careful look before ordering, because these kits are cut for one hull and they are not returnable once made.
FS stands for Frame Seat — it is a specific version of the Caribbean, not a trim level you can ignore. A plain Caribbean 12 and a Caribbean 12 FS take different kits. Check the model badge on your boat, and if you are not certain, send us a photo of the seat.
Brushed Finish
The "brushed" in the part description is the surface texture. It is a fine directional grain — smoother and softer underfoot than the alternative knurled finish, which is a coarser cross-hatch with more bite. Brushed is the more comfortable choice for bare feet and the usual pick for a recreational boat.
How Marine Mat Goes On
It is peel-and-stick, on a high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive that grips even a moulded-in non-skid deck. Clean the area properly and let it dry completely — adhesive does not forgive a damp or waxy surface — then lay the piece down and press it evenly from the middle outward.
Take your time on the dry fit. This is the permanent Stick-It series, not the snap-in removable one, so where you put it is where it stays. Marine Mat backs it with a limited three-year warranty against defects.
