A kayak fairlead guides a control line where it passes through or along the deck. Sea-Lect Designs nylon fairleads have a molded-in recess in the base that traps sealant in place, which makes a more watertight seal.

Where to Use It
Fairleads are for straight runs. They aren't made to change the direction of a line, and they shouldn't be used with wire rope. For a turn, use a pulley instead, and ask us at our Clearwater shop if you're not sure.
