Engel Cooler Drybox
Engel Cooler Drybox
The Engel drybox cooler is two things at once: a cooler that holds ice, and a dry box tight enough to keep water and dust off a camera, a phone or an emergency kit. That is why they end up on kayaks, in skiffs and in the back of trucks.
It Actually Seals
An airtight EVA gasket runs around the lid, so it doesn't leak, and the box floats — Engel sells it as a ditch bag for that reason. The body is injection-molded polypropylene copolymer with molded polystyrene foam insulation.
Rod Holders on the 19 and 30
The 19 and 30 quart models come in a version with rod holders in the lid, which is how you get an armful of rods and your lunch down to the water in one trip. The 30 has four of them. They are fixed, not removable.
