Yak Attack Phone Holder

The RotoGrip phone holder is built for a wet, moving boat — and it comes with a tether, because a kayak is exactly where a phone goes over the side.

Holder and Tether Only — No Base

The most important line on this page. The RotoGrip phone holder ships as the holder plus a universal smartphone harness with tether and a locking carabiner.

There is no mount base and no socket arm in the box. The holder has a 1" ball built into it, so it needs a 1" ball base — YakAttack, RAM or Scotty — bought separately.

YakAttack also sell this bundled with a track mount, and a Pro version on LockNLoad. If you want a complete ready-to-fit setup, say so and we will put the right combination together rather than sell you half of one.

The Tether Is the Real Feature

A 9" coiled tether that stretches to 48", with a locking carabiner.

Phone mounts fail in two ways on the water: the phone pops out under a slap of chop, or the whole mount lets go. A tether means either failure ends with the phone dangling instead of sinking. On a boat, that is worth more than the holder.

RotoGrip Phone Holder Fit

Fits phones 2.75" to 3.625" wide and 0.303" to 0.625" thick — which covers current large phones including the Pro Max and Ultra sizes, and most slim cases.

Measure your phone in its case. That is where people get caught: a bare phone fits and the same phone in a rugged case does not.

Warranty

The holder is made in the USA and carries YakAttack's Built for Life guarantee. The harness and tether are made in China with a one-year warranty — worth knowing which part is which.
