Read This First — It Needs the Cup Holder Pro
The Cup Holder Pro tool holder attaches by a dovetail-and-screw connection to the Cup Holder Pro, which is a separate product.
It does not mount to a kayak on its own. There is no track fitting and no base. If you do not already own a Cup Holder Pro, you need that too — we stock it, and it is what actually bolts to your GearTrac, MightyMount or factory track.
We would rather say this plainly than have it come back.
What the Cup Holder Pro Tool Holder Holds
Cutouts sized for pliers and scissors, plus tether holes so you can run a clip-on retractor.
The problem it solves is specific and familiar: pliers live in the bottom of a crate, under everything, and the moment you need them is the moment a fish is thrashing with a hook in the wrong place. Having them upright, beside your knee, in a fixed place, is worth far more than six dollars.
Tether them. A tool holder stops pliers wandering around the boat; it does not stop them going over the side.
A Modular System
The Cup Holder Pro takes several of these accessories — a side pocket, a bait tray, vertical dividers, a splash cap and a trash-trap lid among them. You build the combination you want around one mounting point.
That is the sensible way to use limited deck space: one base, several functions, rather than five separate things bolted to five separate spots.
