Power Panel
The switch panel at the heart of a wired kayak. This five circuit power panel gives you individually switched 12V outlets instead of plugging and unplugging accessories at the battery every time you want a light on.
The Five Circuit Power Panel, Circuit by Circuit
The switches are marked bow, mid-ship, stern, ACC 1 and ACC 2. Three go to power ports around the boat; the two accessory circuits are there for whatever you add later — an aerator, a phone charger, a second light.
The panel itself is waterproof and illuminated, so you can see which circuit is live in the dark, and it comes with a matching waterproof relay module that does the actual switching.
Five Circuit Power Panel Fitting Dimensions
• Mounting hole: 2-1/8"
• Mounting depth behind the panel: 1-1/4"
• Cable: 22"
• Total current: 15 amps
Check that 1-1/4" of clearance behind wherever you want to mount it. The obvious spot on most boats is the console or gunwale beside the seat, within reach without leaning — but the obvious spot is often the one with the least room behind it.
Plug and Play, No Soldering
Every part of the Yak Power line uses standard SAE two-pin connectors — the same snap-together plug used on battery tenders. Nothing gets cut, stripped, crimped or soldered. You plug the pieces together in the order they go, and the system works.
That is the whole reason this line exists. Wiring a kayak used to mean butt connectors, heat shrink and a prayer. This is a system a customer with no electrical experience can install in an afternoon and trust in salt water.
One Thing It Does Not Do
There is no Bluetooth in this panel. If you want app or key-fob control, that is the separate waterproof inline remote, which plugs into this panel. We stock it, and it will not work without a panel like this one to plug into.
