Stowable Kayak SK Cart
A stowable kayak cart that solves the problem every cart creates: what do you do with it once you are on the water?
A Stowable Kayak Cart Goes In the Boat
Folded, it is 24" x 10" x 3" and the wheels come off with a quick release. That is small enough to go through a hatch and ride inside the hull, so you can cart the boat to the water, stow the cart, paddle to a different take-out, and still have wheels when you get there.
Anyone who has done a one-way trip, or had to leave a cart at the launch and hope, understands the appeal immediately.
Check Your Hatch First
It does not fit every hatch. Suspenz say specifically it will not fit the hatches on the Eddyline Sky 10, Skylark 12, Rio or Caribbean 109.
Measure your hatch opening before you buy, or bring the boat in and we will try it. A stowable cart that will not go in your boat is just a cart.
A Stowable Kayak Cart Is Sized for Lighter Boats
100 lb capacity with 8" x 2" airless wheels, which puts it with composite touring boats, lighter recreational kayaks and smaller hulls. If you are moving a loaded pedal-drive fishing kayak, this is not enough cart and you want the 350 lb all-terrain version.
The platform is 9" wide by 13" long with a slight 1.5" V, so it cradles a rounded hull rather than balancing it flat.
A mesh storage bag and two tie-down straps come with it.
One Honest Note
Suspenz are currently showing this on backorder at the factory. What is on our floor is what we have.
