All Terrain Airless Cart
The heavy one. An all terrain airless cart with 15 inch never-flat wheels and a 350 lb capacity — built for dragging a loaded fishing kayak across sand, shell and gravel rather than down a paved ramp.
An All Terrain Airless Cart Never Goes Flat
Pneumatic cart tyres go flat. They go flat in the garage over winter, and they find every oyster shell and thorn on the walk to the water. A never-flat wheel cannot.
The trade is a slightly harsher ride over hard ground, which on a kayak cart matters not at all. At 15 inches these wheels are big enough to roll over soft sand instead of ploughing into it, which is the actual test around here.
Sealed bearings, so salt and grit stay out of the hub.
350 lb on an All Terrain Airless Cart
A modern pedal or motorised fishing kayak can weigh 120 lb empty, and then you load it. Most carts are rated for a bare recreational boat and quietly fail under that.
This one is rated 350 lb and weighs 17 lb itself. It suits the big sit-on-tops — Old Town Sportsman, Native Ultimate, Ocean Kayak Malibu and similar.
Bunker Bars Fit the Hull Shape
The platform is adjustable from 9" to 20" wide by 13" long, and the bunker bars adjust to match your hull — V-hull, tunnel or catamaran, or flat bottom. That is what stops a cart rocking a boat off it halfway up a car park.
There is a spring-loaded kickstand so it stands up while you load, and it comes with two sets of extra-long cam straps.
Storage
Folds to 31" x 16" x 9". Powder-coated steel in a hammertone finish.
Rinse it after salt use — it is steel, and the bearings and hardware are what corrode first. Two minutes with a hose adds years.
