Native Swivel SS Locking
A swivel that stays where you put it. A locking seat swivel replaces a free-spinning swivel with one that indexes and holds at set positions.
Why a Locking Seat Swivel Beats Free-Spinning
A plain 360 degree swivel is excellent for getting in and out, and mildly infuriating once you are fishing. Every time you lean, cast or set a hook, the seat turns under you.
A locking swivel holds an angle. You set it where you want — square to the bow for paddling, off to one side for working a bank — and it stays there until you release it.
For anyone who fishes sitting down, that is the difference between a feature and an annoyance.
A Locking Seat Swivel in Stainless
The whole point of stainless in this position is that a swivel is a mechanism sitting in salt water under a wet seat. A plated mechanism seizes; stainless keeps turning.
Rinse it with fresh water anyway, and put a little corrosion protection on the mechanism once a season. Stainless resists corrosion; it does not ignore it, especially in a crevice under constant load.
One Honest Note on Fitment
This part is no longer listed in Native's current catalogue, so ours is shelf stock and Native's present equivalent is a different, simpler swivel.
That means we cannot give you a confident model-by-model fitment list from the manufacturer. Bring the boat, or a photo of your existing seat base and swivel, and we will check it physically before you buy.
We would rather do that than sell you a swivel that does not mate with your base.
