Native Kayak Cover
A fitted cover for a specific hull. A Native kayak cover protects the whole boat — deck, seat, tracks and rigging — from sun, rain and the debris that falls on anything stored outdoors.
Why a Native Kayak Cover Earns Its Keep
Not water, and not use. Ultraviolet is what chalks a hull, embrittles handles and hatch covers, perishes bungee and fades a seat.
A boat stored outside in Florida ages several times faster than one under cover. If your kayak lives on a rack beside the house, on a dock or in a carport, a cover is the cheapest life extension available to you.
It also keeps leaves, pine needles, pollen and wasps out of the cockpit and the tankwell, which saves a clean-out every time you want to paddle.
Which Boats This Native Kayak Cover Fits
Titan X 12.5 and Titan 12 Original.
Covers are cut to a hull. This is not a generic tarp, and one cut for a different Native will not sit properly — a loose cover flaps, chafes and holds water in pockets, which is worse than no cover.
Native make cut covers for several other models. Tell us your boat and we will order the right one rather than sell you a near-fit.
Build
Made in the USA, with marine-grade anti-wick thread, double stitching and 4-ply join seams. A tie-down strap set is included.
Anti-wick thread matters more than it sounds: ordinary thread draws water through every stitch hole by capillary action, so a cover can be made of waterproof fabric and still drip onto the boat all night.
Fit It Properly
Tension the straps so the cover is snug. A slack cover flaps in wind, and flapping fabric abrades gelcoat and wears through its own seams in a season.
