Why a GearTrac Hardware Assortment Is Worth Having

Track hardware lives outdoors, gets handled with wet hands, and is small enough to vanish. A knob dropped between the seat and the gunwale is gone. A T-bolt left in the track of the boat you sold is gone. And an accessory missing one bolt is not a partly working accessory — it is a thing you carry around and cannot use.

Keeping a spares box in the truck means a lost knob costs you thirty seconds instead of a fishing trip.

What It Works With

MightyMount, GearTrac, and most Scotty, RAM and YakGear track. The 1/4-20 thread is close to universal in this class of hardware, so these pieces tend to fit far more than the YakAttack range alone.

Note that Sea-Lect's own track system uses an 8-32 thread rather than 1/4-20, so if you are working on a Sea-Lect track that is a different part — we stock those slide plates separately.

Track, MightyMount and LockNLoad

Three names get confused constantly, so here is the whole picture in one place.

GearTrac is a channel with an undercut lip, screwed to the deck. Accessories capture under that lip with a T-bolt and slide anywhere along it.

MightyMount is a short fixed pad you screw straight to the deck where there is no track. It is a *substitute* for track, not something you add to it.

LockNLoad is the tool-free quick-release interface on the accessory end — rod holders, fish finder mounts, camera arms. A LockNLoad accessory ships on either a track base or a surface base.
