Waterproof Silicone Pouches

Two reusable sealed pouches that fold flat when empty. A silicone pouch is the answer for the small wet-or-messy things that do not deserve a hard case.

What Is In the Silicone Pouch Pack

A set of two, one of each size:

• 1 L — 6.9" x 9.1" x 0.4"

• 1.5 L — 8.3" x 11.1" x 0.8"

Both seal with a slider closure and fold flat, so an empty one takes essentially no space in a hatch.

What a Silicone Pouch Is Good For

Food, mostly — a sandwich, cut fruit, snacks — which is exactly the thing you do not want loose in a bag with your dry clothes.

Also: a wet swimsuit, a phone you want protected but accessible, sunscreen that always leaks, a first aid kit, bait you would rather keep separate from lunch. They are dishwasher and microwave safe and rated from -58°F to 482°F, so they go home and get properly cleaned.

How Waterproof

Geckobrands call the seal leak-proof and airtight, and there is no IP rating and no depth figure behind it.

Our honest grading: a sealed slider pouch is fine for rain, spray and a dunk. It is not a rated submersible case, and a slider is not the closure we would trust a phone to at depth. For that, the Pelican Micro Case has a real IP67 number.

Use them for what they are excellent at — keeping wet things away from dry things — rather than as a critical waterproof container.

Why Not Just Use a Zip Bag

Because a disposable zip bag splits, and you throw it away. Silicone survives being sat on, packed under a hatch, and washed a hundred times. Over a season it replaces a drawer full of single-use plastic.
