Angler Optimus 8ft Pole Kit

Not a pole — a conversion kit. The Angler Optimus pole kit turns a Bending Branches Angler paddle you already own into a stake out pole, a push pole, or several other things.

Read This Before You Buy

There is no paddle and no complete pole in this box. It is attachments.

The Optimus system was designed so you buy the extra pieces rather than a whole second tool. Snap them onto a compatible Angler paddle and the same shaft becomes a kayak paddle, a canoe paddle, a stake out pole, a stand-up paddle or a push pole — swapping in seconds via snap-button releases.

If you want a standalone stake out pole, that is a different product and we stock those.

Angler Optimus Pole Kit Compatibility Is Strict

It requires a Bending Branches Angler paddle with the snap-button ferrule.

It is not compatible with the PLUS-ferrule Angler models, and not compatible with the Angler Scout.

That is the single most important line on this page. If you own an Angler Pro Plus or a Scout, this kit will not fit your paddle. Bring the paddle in and we will check the ferrule before you spend anything.

What Is In the 8 ft Angler Optimus Pole Kit

• T-grip handle

• 37" fiberglass shaft section

• 59" fiberglass shaft section

• Snap-button ferrule

• Spike

Both shaft sections are fiberglass. Bending Branches also made a 12 ft kit and a stand-up kit.

Why the Idea Is Good

A kayak has no room for a paddle, a spare paddle, a stake out pole and a push pole. Carrying one shaft that becomes all of them is a genuinely sensible answer to a real problem.

One Honest Note

The Optimus no longer appears on Bending Branches' website, so this looks to be discontinued. What we have is shelf stock, and there will be no more.
