Not a Bag-Style Folding Camp Chair

The chair most people picture is the round one in a nylon sleeve. This is not that.

The Larry folds flat rather than into a cylinder, which means it slides behind a car seat or against the back of a trunk instead of taking up a whole corner. For a folding camp chair that lives in a vehicle permanently, flat beats round.

Sitting Height

It sits higher than the low beach chairs, which is the thing people notice. High enough to get out of without using your hands, and high enough to eat at a picnic table.

If you want to be six inches off the sand watching the water, this is not the chair. If you want to sit at a campsite for three hours and get up comfortably, it is.

The Folding Camp Chair Frame

Powder-coated aluminium, so it does not rust — which matters more here than almost anywhere. A steel-framed chair left in the back of a truck through a Florida summer will be orange by Christmas.

Weight Rating

We have not confirmed the current published capacity for this folding camp chair and we would rather not print a number we cannot stand behind. Ask us and we will read it off the tag with you.

Care

Rinse the fabric if it has been in salt and let it dry open. Salt left in a sling chews through the stitching at the frame pockets first.
