The Thule Evo Clamp is how a car with a completely bare roof gets a rack. It clamps into the door frame, so there is nothing to drill and nothing permanent — and when it comes off, the roof looks untouched.
Three Parts, Not One
A rack is the foot pack, a vehicle-specific fit kit and a pair of load bars. This is the foot pack. The fit kit is an Evo Clamp kit from the 5000 series and is chosen by year, make and model, because the bracket that hooks your door frame is shaped for your car.
Tightened by Feel, Not by Force
The torque limiter key gives way when the feet are properly secured, so you know the rack is on properly without leaning on a wrench and denting the door frame.
