Sportsman 106 MK
The Old Town Sportsman 106 MK puts a saltwater-ready Minn Kota motor in a compact 10' 6" fishing kayak. The 45 lb thrust, 12V motor runs from a powerboat-style forward-and-reverse throttle with a built-in battery meter. You steer with the foot braces, which leaves both hands free for the rod.

Running and Launching
It works with lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries. The rated battery is a 12V Group 27 deep-cycle, which is not included. The kill-switch key holds a spare prop pin and doubles as a prop wrench, and an integrated kickstand helps at the dock and the ramp. If you pull the motor and paddle it instead, a console plug seals the opening and stores in the tankwell. The assembled boat is 121 lbs and 37 inches wide.
