Wall Hanger Straps -Seals
Get the boat off the floor without building anything. Kayak wall hanger straps are heavy webbing slings that loop over ceiling rafters or wall hooks and cradle the hull.
How Kayak Wall Hanger Straps Mount
The hanger ends are looped — you pass them around a rafter near a wall, or hook them over wall hooks. That is the whole installation.
Hooks and hardware are not included, and that is the one thing to plan for. What you fix them to matters far more than the straps: rafters or studs, never plasterboard alone. A kayak coming off a wall is heavy, awkward and expensive.
Kayak Wall Hanger Straps Capacity
Seals rate a set for one, two or three solo kayaks or SUP boards, fitting hulls up to 72" in girth. They explicitly do not recommend them for tandem kayaks.
Seals publish no weight rating, and we are not going to invent one for a load-bearing overhead product. If you are hanging anything unusually heavy, come and talk to us first.
One honest note on our listing: it does not currently say which set size is in the bag. Ask before you buy and we will check.
Storing a Boat Properly
Support the hull near its bulkheads, not at the very ends, and store a composite or thermoformed boat on its side rather than deck-down — months of resting weight on a flat panel will deform it.
The built-in paddle storage loops are a small thing that stops paddles living in the corner and getting stood on.
