Load It from the Rear
The saddles are designed for loading from the back of the vehicle. Rest the bow of the kayak on the rear saddle, then walk back, lift the stern and push the kayak up onto the front saddle. Because each saddle is one piece, the kayak can't fall through the middle while you load, the way it can with two-piece carriers.
