Foot Pedal Rec Sealect Design
A foot brace lever and pedal set: the pedal together with the red trigger on its back that you squeeze to slide it along the rail. Sold as a pair.
Buy This When the Trigger Is the Problem
This is the part for a very specific failure. The pedal itself may be fine, but the red trigger has broken, lost its spring, or no longer locks — so the pedal creeps down the rail while you are bracing against it, and you spend the paddle resetting it.
Sea-Lect does not sell the lever on its own. It comes attached to the pedal, so this set is the fix.
Which Part Do You Actually Need
Three different things get confused at the counter, so here is the whole picture:
• Complete foot brace — rails and pedals, for one boat. Buy it for a bare hull, or a bent or corroded rail. Needs drilling or studs.
• Replacement pedals — the pedals that slide onto a rail you already have. Buy it when the rail is sound and the pedals are worn or cracked.
• Lever and pedal set — this one. Buy it when the pedal will not lock, or the red trigger is broken or will not spring back.
If you can slide the pedal but it will not stay put, you want this.
Fitting
Nothing to drill. Slide the old pedal off the end of the rail and the new one on, checking that the trigger engages the rail's teeth cleanly before you go paddling. Give both sides a firm shove with your hands — if either creeps on the bench it will creep on the water.
