Chassahowitzka River Paddle Trip Feb 2022
The weatherman did his thing again, by getting everyone freaked out about the weather. Well, it was overcast and drizzled a bit on us, and it was cold. However, it was not that bad. The weather kept it quiet on the river not a lot of others were out. But the manatees and other wildlife was out. There were dozens of manatees around the spring. If you were into birds there were Anhinga, cormorant, juvenile bald eagle, Osprey, Great Blue Heron, Tricolored Heron, wood storks, turkey vulture, and I’m sure I missed some. It doesn’t have to be a sunny day to be beautiful, and this trip was amazing. Thank you to everyone who braved it out and experienced the day with us.
