Braden River Paddling Trip 2024
The Braden River Paddling Trip 2024, it was nice to get back on the water after missing last month’s paddle and dealing with the Storms and clean up in October. We had great weather some wind but it felt nice and kept the temps comfortable. There was some houses on the river that showed damage. One house had a washed out sea wall and was loosing its back yard to the river. Another lost a car port that was still peeled back like an open can. There were several big trees down, and one house still boarded up. Over all the majority of the houses had things cleaned up and where in good shape and life was coming back to normal. It was a nice paddle up to the Linger Lodge. The take out was on the muddy side getting out at the restaurant, but it usually is and it is what it is. The restaurant is eclectic and cool as always, the food was good and the entertainment was, wellll “entertaining” it was a guy who played a saxophone better than he sang. But it was all fun. The paddle back was nice. Seemed to see more turtles on the way back. It was another great day on the water and a fun last trip for this years calendar.
