Braden River Paddling Trip Nov 2022
The Braden River Paddle trip Nov 2022 was a beautiful Florida November day on the water. We all seemed to be well rested after the time change. The air was warm but not hot. Jigs landing was having a bike event at the park but it was not crowded. There was live music drifting over the water as we paddle back to the put in. The paddle up to The Linger Lodge was peaceful and mellow. Only a couple other boats on the entire river with us. There were lots of turtles out sunning themselves, but they seemed shy today and jumped in off there logs if you got close. A number of bird were enjoying the river as well including, little green heron, little blue, snowy egret, great white egret, several trees full of turkey vultures and a mating pair of Great blue heron making a nest. The Linger Lodge was busy but they took good care of us. And the walk through the restaurant with its oddities collection is always interesting. On the way back we had the wind mostly to our back which helped as this is one of our longer trips. Thanks for everyone coming out and enjoying the day with us. See you in January.
