Prop Replacement Kit PDL/ePDL

The complete job in one box. This PDL prop kit is the propeller *plus* every small part you need to install it, which is the difference between this and the bare prop we also sell.

PDL Prop Kit or Prop Only

We stock both and people buy the wrong one, so here is the distinction.

The kit contains:

• The propeller

• 2 x stainless prop pins

• Stainless lock washer

• Wingnut

• Anti-seize compound

The prop only is exactly that — the propeller and nothing else.

If your existing pin, washer and wingnut are in good condition and you simply damaged the blade, the bare prop saves money. If anything else is corroded, lost, or you have never had the drive apart, buy the kit. The small parts are the ones that seize, round off, or go over the side during the job.

The Anti-Seize Is Not Optional

That little sachet is the most valuable thing in the box, and the part most likely to be thrown away.

A stainless fastener threaded into a dissimilar metal, in salt water, for a season, will gall — the two surfaces effectively weld. The next person to take it apart rounds off the wingnut or snaps the shaft. Anti-seize prevents that for the cost of thirty seconds.

Use it. Every time.

PDL and ePDL+, Briefly

PDL is Old Town's manual pedal drive — prop-driven, with instant reverse. ePDL+ is the same drive with a motor and a 36V lithium battery added, giving five levels of pedal assist plus a fully motorised cruise mode.

They share the same prop and the same prop pins, which is why these parts are listed for both.
