Fin 9" Touring
Fin Touring 9"
This 9" touring SUP fin is the shape for going in a straight line. A touring fin is deeper and straighter than a surf fin, so the board tracks better on flat water and holds its line on a long crossing, at the cost of turning quickly.
Tracking Versus Turning
Every fin trades one for the other. A deep, raked touring fin resists the board sliding sideways, so each stroke pushes you further and you switch sides less often. A shorter surf fin lets the tail break loose so you can pivot. If most of your paddling is bay and flat water, the touring fin is the one that makes the board feel easier.
