Mangrove tunnels from Clam Bayou out into Boca Ciega Bay, with a waterfront lunch stop in Gulfport. Sheltered water and reliable dolphins.
Clam Bayou is a restored estuary between St. Petersburg and Gulfport, and the paddle through its mangrove tunnels opens onto the wide blue of Boca Ciega Bay. It's sheltered nearly the whole way, which makes it a dependable trip even when the wind is up.
Dolphins work the bay regularly, and the run into Gulfport for a waterfront lunch makes this one of our most sociable paddles. A favorite with regulars.
