Baitshark Livewell
Live bait without a battery. The Baitshark kayak livewell rides in the water behind your boat, and the movement of the kayak forces fresh oxygenated water through it.
A Kayak Livewell With No Pump or Battery
That is the whole design. A conventional livewell needs a bilge pump, a battery to run it, wiring, hoses and somewhere in the boat to put a tank full of water.
This has none of it. Pressure differences created as the kayak moves forward push water through the bait chamber and out again. Nothing to charge, nothing to wire, nothing to fail on the water.
For a kayak — where weight, deck space and battery capacity are all scarce — that is a genuinely better answer than shrinking a boat livewell.
It Tows, It Does Not Sit In the Boat
Worth being clear: this rides in the water behind you, not in the tankwell. The shape is hydrodynamic to keep drag down.
That means it does not take up deck space and it does not slosh 12 lb of water around your trim. It also means you need to remember it is there when you land, and to bring it aboard before you drag the boat up a ramp.
Kayak Livewell Capacity
5.5 quarts, roughly a gallon and a half. That is sized for a kayak angler's bait, not a boat's: live shrimp, pinfish, finger mullet, minnows or sardines for a day's fishing.
There is a spring-loaded door so you can get a bait out one-handed — which matters when the other hand has a rod in it.
Build
Made in the USA, with a limited lifetime warranty against defects.
Rinse it with fresh water after a salt trip like everything else, and let it dry open so it does not go sour.
