3 lbs Folding Grappling Hook A
3 lbs Folding Grappling Hook Anchor
This 3 lb folding grapnel anchor has flukes that fold against the shaft, so it stores flat in a hatch or a crate instead of catching on everything in the boat. It suits kayaks, canoes, small boats, sailboats and inflatables.
Three Pounds Is the Kayak Size
A grapnel holds by hooking something rather than by digging in, so weight matters less than bite. Three pounds is enough to hold a kayak on grass, rock or oyster in normal conditions, and light enough that you will actually carry it. In strong current or on clean sand you want more scope on the line before you want more anchor.
